Overview

Has the paint on your car ever been damaged from the sun, weather, tree sap, or bird droppings?  Are there spills you wish you could have had removed on your interior fabric?  You can now get these things fixed and be reimburst (up to $500/yr) with this benefit. Protect your new or used car from paint issues and stains on fabric through this program.

  • Reimburses member for expense to repair paint or fabric on primary automobile due to damage, spills, stains, etc.  Maximum $500/year.

Description

Interior protection:
Fabric surfaces are covered against staining, and on the vehicle’s vinyl & leather surfaces against color fading. The following are covered: Normal spills of water, coffee, sodas, milk, baby oil, lubricating oil; or greasy food products and/or if the vinyl/leather interior of the vehicle treated with the interior protection fades or discolors and the vehicle owner makes a claim within five (5) years (or within the leased period, if the lease less than 5 years) from the date of application, the damaged area will be cleaned or repaired, and reapplication of interior protector to the cleaned and/or repaired area without charge to the vehicle owner.

Exterior protection:
Surfaces treated with paint sealant will be protected as follows: if the factory painted surfaces on the vehicle are damaged by fading, chalking, loss of gloss resulting from exposure to the sun, industrial fallout, and weather-induced acid rain(new and leased vehicles only), tree sap or bird droppings, and a claim is made within five (5) years ( or within the leased period, if the lease less than 5 years) from the date of the original product application, the damaged area of the vehicle will be repaired.

Definitions: A new vehicle is defined as any vehicle which has not been filed to an ultimate purchaser and is of current model year or one model year old with less than 20,000 miles on the odometer. An eligible used vehicle is defined as any vehicle within five (5) model years back from current model year with less than 80,000 miles on the odometer. To be eligible, vehicle must have had the products applied within six months of the delivery date of the vehicle. A primary automobile is one that is driven at least nine (9) months out of the year and which has valid insurance coverage.

Exclusions (Interior) The warranty does not apply to:
(1)  stains caused by acid, dyes, bleaches, inks, and other corrosives,
(2)  materials that have been ripped, torn, burned, or subject to vandalism, or mishandled by the failure of the
      vehicle owner to exercise reasonable care,
(3)  stains of fading due to modification or alterations of vinyl/leather and/or fabric surfaces,
(4)  stains of fading due to defects in the vehicle’s manufacturing imperfections.

Exclusions (Exterior) This warranty does not apply to:
(1)   paint damage caused by stone abrasions, chipping, impact or collision damage, corrosion, surface rust, vandalism, neglect or abuse.
(2)   Paint separating, cracking, peeling or flaking.
(3)   To paint damage or repaired or repainted parts unless paint sealant is reapplied to repaired or replaced part within 30 days of the date of repair by an authorized dealer.
(4)   To paint damage due to defective design materials or workmanship in the manufacture of the vehicle, as documented in manufacturer technical bulletins, written settlements, policies or recall notices.
(5)   To damage on chrome or other metal-plated trim, damage on parts or equipment installed after the vehicle left the factory assembly line or structurally altered line manufacturer.

(6) To paint damage of the panels or tailgate of a truck bed facing the inside of the bed, or on the floor panel or the bed.
(7) To any surface not originally painted at the point of vehicle manufacture.
(8) To industrial fallout and weather induced acid rain damage on used vehicles only. The vehicle owner is required to maintain the vehicle by regular washing and prompt use of touchup paint on nicks and scratches.


Repair obligations (Interior) Limited to cleaning of and/or repairing and reapplication of the product to the fabric and/or vinyl/leather surfaces of the vehicle and it shall be within the full discretion of the Claims Administrator to determine and implement the repair. Any implied warranties accompanying the sale of this product are limited in duration to the duration of this limited warranty.

Repair obligations (Exterior) Limited to one repairing and painting of each damaged area during the warranty period and shall be within the sole discretion of the Claims Administrator to determine and implement the repair. . Any implied warranties accompanying the sale of this product are limited in duration to the duration of this limited warranty.

Transferability: Products applied to new vehicles: The limited warranty is transferable to a second owner of the vehicle within the term of this warranty. For products applied to used vehicles, this warranty is not transferable.

How To File a Claim

How to file a claim:

1.)   Contact claims administrator at first sign of damage or within sixty (60) days of such damage.
2.)   Provide the Claims Administrator with a copy of your original warranty for warranty validation
3.)   Claims Administrator or its agents reserve the right to inspect any damaged area prior to authorization of repairs. Any repair undertaken without authorization from the Claims Administrator will not be paid.
